Summary

This position is part of the Organization of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The incumbent will be responsible for overall management and accomplishment of select Joint Staff Support Services Office Hampton Roads supply functions.



Duties

As a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN at the GS some of your typical work assignments may include:

  • Develops, implements and evaluates all aspects of the supply support plan for Joint Staff in HR (JSHR).
  • The incumbent: defines scope, interface requirements, policy issues and performance criteria; develops milestones; ensures compliance with policies or recommends new ones; and defines problems with added recommendations for issues to be addressed in the supply support plan. The incumbent also ensures coordination between all JSHR organizations for all matters related to supply.
  • Analyzes and plans for the implementation of new policy statements, regulations and directives issued by higher headquarters concerning supply and property accountability activities.
  • Prepares briefs that will be given to higher level officials within the JS and other coordinating components on supply plans and issues.
