Title of Position: Summer Adaptive Sports Instructor

Location: Hailey, Idaho, and the surrounding area.

Employment Dates: May 15-August 31

The mission of Higher Ground USA (HG) is to enhance the quality of life through inclusive therapeutic recreation and education for people of all abilities. Reporting to the Adaptive Program Manager and Adaptive Program Coordinator, the Summer Adaptive Sports Instructor is responsible for the program support for all adaptive summer programming. The primary responsibility in the summer months is to coordinate and execute all aspects of the summer community programs. The Summer Adaptive Sports Instructor position is designed to provide opportunities for individuals interested in Outdoor/Experiential Education, Therapeutic Recreation, and Recreation Management to gain professional experience and knowledge in this growing field.

Eligibility and Requirements: Instructors must be at least 18 years of age, preferred First Aid and CPR certifications, have experience working with kids, and be able to commit to an entire season. Above all, Higher Ground is looking for instructors who are self-motivated, take initiative, and have a desire to work with people with disabilities. Summer activities include; various types of adaptive cycling, hiking, golf, bocce ball, social activities, fitness/healthy lifestyles, water sports, and more.
