The Office represents the State of Florida in state and federal civil and criminal courts, from trial courts to the Supreme Court of the United States.


Position Summary:

This Distributed Computer Systems Analyst position in the Information Technology (IT) Unit in the Office of the Attorney General in Tallahassee, Florida.


Pay:
$46, # - $48, # Annually

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and two years of experience in computer systems analysis, computer programming or in planning or designing distributed computer systems; or
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course of study in one of the computer sciences or in management information systems and one year experience in computer systems analysis, computer programming or in planning or designing distributed computer systems; or
  • A master's degree from an accredited college or university with major course of study in one of the computer sciences or in management information systems; or
  • Three (3) years of experience as described above and either (1) completion of a 1440 classroom hour program of study from a vocational/technical school or accredited community college in an area of data processing (excluding data entry), or semester or 90 quarter hours of college course work from an accredited institution which includes four courses in computer science or management information systems.
  • Experience as described above can be substituted on a year for year basis for the required college education.
  • Completion of a one (1) year program of study from a vocation/technical school in an area of data processing (excluding data entry) can substitute for one (1) year of the required experience.

The Work You Will Do:
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

Network Support:

Responsible for installation, support, maintenance, repair, and standardization of network equipment, to include desktops, network printers, TCPIP and Microsoft networking configuration.

Performs on-going networking audits and ensures security and integrity of all distributed network systems. Familiarity with set up and maintenance of network printers using Managed Print Services.

-10% Applications Support and

Microsoft Support:
Troubleshooting and maintenance of applications at the desktop level. Implement upgrades agency wide as required, including users in Jacksonville and Pensacola. Troubleshooting and maintenance of Office 365 on PCs including Outlook email.

-10% Familiarity and use of desktop sharing software (such as BeyondTrust) for remote support of PCs in the OAG network.

-5% Videoconferencing configure videoconferencing machines to be used for connection to branch offices. Troubleshoot and repair problems with videoconferencing equipment and software as needed, but not limited to PC hardware, cameras, displays, and Teams troubleshooting. Help with setup and operation of videoconferences as requested by Executive Staff in the Tallahassee office.

-10% Keep track of inventory control of hardware within the region. This includes IT and Computer peripherals.

-5% Performs other related duties as required.
