As a IT SPECIALIST (APPSW/SYSANALYSIS) at the GS some of your typical work assignments may include:

Project Management and Implementation Oversight:

Manage projects within DSSC, ensuring adherence to project management practices, quality control, and timely implementation of new information systems.

Analytical Support and

Process Improvement:

Provide analytical support for projects and studies, consulting with customers to identify program requirements, and recommending solutions for process improvements.

Business Process Reengineering and

Problem Solving:

Lead business process reengineering efforts to achieve DHRA mission objectives, solving complex problems through critical thinking and project management skills.

Technical Guidance and

Compliance Assurance:

Provide technical guidance for software development projects, data quality assurance, and compliance with DoD methodology and cyber security regulations, including RMF activities.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:

Respond to requests for information and support from all levels of the organization, including senior-level managers, and communicate findings and recommendations in assigned areas of responsibility.

Documentation and SOP Maintenance:

Develop and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and other relevant materials to support data and application management within DSSC.
