Job Overview

The Buyer-Planner I will be responsible for planning and procuring materials to support OE and Aftermarket sales, ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining material costs, and managing supplier relationships to support our production needs.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Plan, procure, and expedite materials to support OE and Aftermarket sales.
  • Ensure orders meet quality specifications and are delivered on time to prevent production stoppages and workforce downtime.
  • Manage supplier performance and resolve issues related to purchase orders, invoices, and delivery discrepancies.
  • Maintain and control material costs.
  • Support cost reduction initiatives and adhere to supplier contracts.
  • Stay informed on the latest industry advances in purchasing techniques.
  • Collaborate across departments to support new product development, automation initiatives, and supplier quality improvement efforts.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or Business (Associate's degree with relevant experience also considered).
  • < 3 years of experience in supply chain or related fields.
  • Proficiency in ERP environments (SAP preferred) and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications preferred.

  • Ability to work independently while following company guidelines.
Travel Requirements
  • Able to travel up to 10%.
