Serves as a Purchasing Agent (Contract Assistant) in the Acquisitions Division, Engineering Department of the United States Section, International Boundary and Water Commission (USIBWC) processing procurement data and documents on acquisitions and Pre-award and Post-award administrative functions. Assists with oversight of the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) Program and Credit Card Program; and completes other administrative duties.
Duties
- Reviews acquisition requirements packages assuring compliance and completion.
- Completes pre-award tracking record utilizing the Global Financial Management System (GFMS), the Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS), and contract files.
- Conducts market research and negotiates and awards simplified acquisitions.
- Administers orders and monitors vendor performance to ensure order requirements are met.
- Prepares and distributes contract modifications.
- Assists with the oversight of the agency Contracting Officer Representative (COR) Program.
- Assists with the oversight of the agency Credit Card Program.
