Summary

You will serve as a LEAD FIREFIGHTER (HAZARDOUS MATERIAL TECHNICIAN) in the NAVAL CONSTRUCTION BATTALION CENTER GULFPORT of NAVCONSTRBATCTRGPT.



Duties
  • You will consider factors (e.g., wind direction, topography, sources of water, environmental hazards) to determine the positioning of fire apparatus, equipment, and tools in firefighting operations.
  • You will establish on-scene control procedures (e.g., zone control, decontamination) in a hazardous material incident.
  • You will identify performance, progress, disciplinary, and training needs of crew members.
  • You will check new fire protection systems or equipment to verify correct installation and performance.
  • You will administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automatic external defibrillation (AED) for a patient.
