Position Overview: SAIC is seeking a highly motivated and talented intern to join our Innovation Factory Hyperautomation Team. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge automation projects using the Power Platform and other tools. This position offers a unique chance to gain hands-on experience in the field of hyperautomation while collaborating with a diverse team of professionals and supporting development of products for use internal to SAIC.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, development, and implementation of automation solutions using the Power Platform and other relevant tools.
- Collaborate with team members to identify automation opportunities and propose innovative solutions.
- Conduct research and analysis to understand business processes and identify areas for automation improvement.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate ideas for process automation and optimization.
- Create and maintain documentation, including process flows, user manuals, and technical specifications.
- Support the testing and debugging of automation solutions to ensure their functionality and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure successful project delivery.
- Adhere to established coding standards and best practices to ensure the quality and maintainability of automation solutions.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong interest in automation, process improvement, and emerging technologies.
- Familiarity with the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) or similar low-code/no-code platforms.
- Basic understanding of programming concepts and experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience with process automation or familiarity with robotic process automation (RPA) is desirable
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
