We anticipate the need for one or more Journeyman Lineman at our St. Croix Falls Service in St. Croix, WI. The starting base Journeyman pay for this position is $55.45 hourly.

This position will be posted for 15 Working days from June 14th, July 5th, 2024.

Summary

Primary responsibilities consist of but are not limited to installation, maintenance and removal of overhead transmission conductors and equipment. Must be able to climb poles, work on energized conductors and equipment, perform hot stick work on energized high voltage conductors, work in inclement weather, be available for callout work, and all other work as outlined in the lineman position.

Required

High school graduate or equivalentMust presently be qualified as a Journeyman Lineman and have a working knowledge of all phases of Distribution and Transmission Construction, Maintenance and OperatingMust have good communication and teamwork skillsRequires participation in after-hour emergency callouts in all kinds of weather conditionsExperience with bucket trucks, digger derricks, trenchers and groundwork with utility line crew requiredMust be committed to working safely and compliance with all company safety rulesMust be of adequate physical stature to perform routine physical labor associated with line work, including but not limited to: lifting, climbing, working in confined spaces, operation of equipmentWilling to travel and work away from homeMust meet driver qualification requirements as specified in FMCSR parts 382 and 391 including the possession of a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class AThis position is subject to D.O.T. random drug and alcohol testing program As a leading combination electricity and natural gas energy company, Xcel Energy offers a comprehensive portfolio of energy-related products and services to 3.4 million electricity and 1.9 million natural gas customers across eight Western and Midwestern states.
