Description

Position Summary: Bartenders are responsible for ensuring that all guests attending their functions, have the highest quality dining experience possible. Expected to prepare, and pour all beverages accurately, for guests and servers. Also, handle all transactions timely, and accurately.

Essential functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

1. Exhibits strong menu, beverage and wine Knowledge.

2. Mix and garnish beverages, according to recipe and portion control standard .

3. Set-Up bar, and breakdown of equipment need for each banquet event.

4. Completes all assigned side work.

5. Adheres to state liquor laws, and TIPS Trained + Certified.

6. Before starting the events, ensures that is prepared with all necessary items such as glasses, ice, etc.

7. Maintains proper and adequate set-up of bar on event basis.

8. Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit, vegetables, garnishes, juices, ice and other perishables daily; to insure product quality.

9. Responsible for storing, and combining, all reusable liquor at the end of the events.

10. Ensure to store all utensils, tools, and work equipment.

11. Cleaning all equipment, and areas; which includes: returning work equipment ( tools, utensils, etc) to proper locations.

12. All garbage bags, boxes, and trash brought down to first floor, and disposed of.

13. Finally, walk the banquet area, and make sure everything is looking satisfactory.

Qualifications

Experience: No previous experience required

Hours required: Scheduled days and time vary based on hotel needs. Must be able to work weekends.

Skills and Abilities: Must be able to pass food handler training.

Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
