When completed, the Amgen FleX Batch facility will combine the latest in disposable technologies with traditional stainless-steel equipment to allow for maximum flexibility in operations. The FleX Batch facility will not only feature the best in-class drug substance manufacturing technologies with embedded industry 4.0 capabilities, but it will also integrate sustainability innovations to reduce carbon and waste, as part of Amgen's plan to be a carbon-neutral company by 2027.

What you will do
Lets do this. Lets change the world. In this vital role you will be accountable for a team of external and internal resources responsible for delivering GMP Commissioning and Qualification (C&Q) support for a portfolio of GMP capital projects at the Amgen Holly Springs, North Carolina site. In this role, you may serve directly as the Commissioning and Qualification Lead for business-critical projects.
Establishing safety culture and demonstrating safety by exampleSelecting and retaining impactful C&Q firms and professionalsFiguring out C&Q project objectives and establishing execution plans, consistent with company priorities and policiesSupporting and leading project teams through design, procurement, construction, and Commissioning & Qualification planning and executionSupport preparation of project funding documents with scope, cash flow, schedule, and deliverables for the C&Q effort.Leading contract C&Q partner evaluation and selection processReviewing and approving C&Q proposals and cost estimates and establishing earned value tracking.Drive continuous improvement and innovation of commissioning and qualification process for improved quality and efficiencyWinWhat we expect of you We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. Basic Qualifications:High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Engineering and/or Project Management experience ORAssociates degree and 10 years of Engineering and/or Project Management experience ORBachelors degree and 8 years of Engineering and/or Project Management experience ORMasters degree and 6 years of Engineering and/or Project Management experience ORDoctorate degree and 2 years of Engineering and/or Project Management experienceAND in addition to meeting at least one of the above requirements, you must have a minimum of 2 years experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or advising the allocation or resources. Your managerial experience may run concurrently with the required technical experience referenced abovePreferred Qualifications:Experience in the application of C&Q project management skills and concepts with an understanding of large molecule bioprocessing systems.Demonstrate resourcefulness with the ability to problem solve using practical solutionsPossesses interpersonal skills to work with technical, scientific and management internal user groupsAbility to prioritize tasks and conflicting priorities across a broad range of facilities and engineering subject areasExcellent communication skills featuring a demonstrated supervisory style that fits within the Amgen culture and valuesStrong analytical skillsAbility to work independently and collaborativelyAbility to tactfully negotiate and positively influence peers and executive leadershipEffective oral, visual and written communication skills with the ability to listen optimallyResilience and flexibility with the ability to react to changes quickly, and the ability to apply knowledge to new problems and new contextsThriveWhat you can expect of us As we work to develop treatments that take care of others, we also work to care for our teammates professional and personal growth and well-being.
