Ideal Candidates:
Expertise and additional training in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)Board Certified or Eligible in GastroenterologyExperience in clinical trialsOpportunity Details:Join experienced GI/IBD subspecialists in a regional, multidisciplinary IBD program with a patient centered Medical Home.Participate in IBD outpatient clinics, related endoscopy procedures, and research studies in IBDA dedicated clinical support team of IBD-focused Advanced Practitioners, Behavioral Health Social Worker, Dietician, Specialty Pharmacy, 2 Nurse Coordinators, and administrative supportStrong collaborative support from colorectal surgery, GI pathology, GI radiology, and Pediatric GIHighly collegial, 21-physician, GI group comprised of general GIs, hepatologists, GI subspecialists, and advanced endoscopistsIntegrated practice model with a robust internal referral networkGI-dedicated clinical research infrastructure with opportunity for significant research funding24/7 reliable hospitalists onsiteOpportunity to teach — Institution supports a strong, 12 person GI fellowship and Internal Medicine residency programsNo ERCP/EUS requiredMUSC Offerings:Relocation assistanceEPIC medical record platformExcellent retirement options, including a pension and optional tax-deferred contributionsSovereign immunity malpractice coverage22 days of annual leave, 15 days of sick leave, and 13 paid holidaysPublic Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program Qualified EmployerMUSC Faculty Appointment (commensurate with experience)MUSC, located in Charleston, SC, is frequently named one of the best places in America to live.
