Job Description
The BAE Systems site in Kingsport, Tennessee, is seeking a Laboratory Analyst.
In this role, the Laboratory Analyst:
- Performs a variety of physical and chemical testing safely using instrumentation and wet chemistry.
- Records and maintains accurate data using provided data sheets and entering data into LIMS.
- Complies with all applicable laboratory and safety procedures.
- Ensures all work areas are kept clean, neat, and organized.
- Troubleshoots instrumentation problems and testing issues as the need arises.
- Works in a team environment to complete all laboratory testing.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Typically requires a High School Diploma, or the equivalent, and two (2) years experience in an analytical laboratory;
- Working knowledge of analytical instruments, physical and chemical testing;
- Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts;
- Advanced math and computer skills;
- Exceptional attention to detail and safety;
- Ability to differentiate between color differences during required testing;
- Able to work effectively in a team environment;
- Computer skills to include MS Office Suite (Word, Excel).
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Three (3) years or more in analytical laboratory;
- Experience troubleshooting analytical equipment;
- Experience testing explosives.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $ $71460
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
