Patient Sitter

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Patient Sitter.

As a Patient Sitter, you will be responsible for providing continuous observation and support to patients in various healthcare settings.

Your role will be crucial in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients.

Duties:

• Maintain constant visual observation of assigned patients
• Monitor and document vital signs, such as heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation
• Assist with basic patient care tasks, including feeding, bathing, and toileting
• Follow care plans and instructions provided by healthcare professionals
• Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the healthcare team
• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
• Adhere to all HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality
• Understand and respect resident rights in assisted living facilities
• Work with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities in a caring and compassionate manner

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in a healthcare or caregiving setting is preferred
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures
• Familiarity with care plans and systems used in healthcare settings
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately
• Excellent observation skills to identify changes in patient condition or behavior
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently
