Freight Logistics Coordinator #HILO_INDEED

A local moving company is immediately seeking a Temporary Freight Coordinator to join their team and oversee the day-to-day duties of the freight team. In this role, you will work closely with clients and be responsible for ensuring their packages are safely and properly imported and exported.

The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and a strong attention to detail.

Hours
Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm

Location
  • Hilo, Big Island
  • Keaau, Big Island


Pay
$17 an hour

Responsibilities
  • Answer phone calls and relay messages.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, clients, visitors, and co-workers.
  • Prepare shipping documents such as manifests and bills of lading.
  • Help customers move personal household goods in and out of Hawaii.
  • Understand import rules for each receiving country and make sure all documentation meets all export regulations.
  • Facilitate moving services to clients.
  • Assist with invoicing.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in related field desired.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.
  • Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Knowledge in Supply Chain, Logistics or Freight.
  • Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
