Performs detailed clerical/technical support involving the merchandise subsystem by applying established guidelines and practices in reviewing vendor invoices against purchase orders and verifying quantities received, price changes, and computes shipping costs.

Receives, screens, and audits receiving documents (delivery sheets, etc.). Prepares various reports involving shipping discrepancies (commercial freight, parcel post claims, noncompliance with container marking specifications, substitute merchandise, etc.). Enters updated information in merchandise subsystem, and prints warehouse receiving, shipping documents, and price tags. Prepares return orders involving purchase order shipments.

Processes merchandise subsystem adjustments covering store transfers, movements from warehouse to retail outlets and activities, and distributes reports to involved activity.

Enters price changes into automated system, notifying retail department personnel of effective date on storage will-call merchandise. Advises supervisor of unauthorized price changes based on review of purchase order/agreement.

Maintains warehouse stock level balances on hand report, and monitors requisition and issue logs, count compliance report sheets in relation to system managed replenishment cycles, reports of goods-in-transit.

Takes action to release outstanding documents from automated system.
Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards.

Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor.

Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
