As a Server Assistant with Le Meridien St Louis Clayton, you will be responsible for table the set-up and clearance of restaurant tables, stocking of all server stations, and assisting the service in the dining room in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner in accordance with the high standards of the hotel and brand.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Quickly clear dirty table settings and prepare table for resetting. Promptly and consistently reset all serviceware as prescribed.
Maintain stock and cleanliness of stations for all meal periods with necessary equipment including silverware, linen and condiments.
Serve guests with beverages, breads and butter to begin their dining experience and replenish as necessary.
Transport all dirty tableware from dining room to dishwashing area for proper cleaning.
Participate in ensuring the dining room is clean & presentable to guests. This could include, but not limited to sweeping/moping of floors and detail cleaning of outlets.
Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis
Perform any other job-related duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES: Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Positive Attitude with a team first mentality
Ability to maintain high levels of professionalism; treat others with respect and consideration regardless of situation.
Ability to manage difficult or emotional customers or situations; includes ability to respond promptly to guest requests
Basic knowledge of food & beverage preparations, service standards, and etiquette.
Knowledge of table settings and serviceware
Ability to remember, recite and promote a variety of menu items
Ability to push/pull/lift up to 100 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
