POSITION SUMMARY

The Financial Analyst at AES USA will play a crucial role in supporting financial planning and analysis activities to drive business growth and profitability. This role involves analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and providing insights to assist in decision-making processes. The Financial Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial models, as well as monitor key performance indicators to evaluate business performance. Additionally, the Financial Analyst will contribute to process improvement initiatives and support ad-hoc financial analysis projects as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(Other duties may be assigned and are not limited to the following)

* Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations for improving financial

performance.

* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis and commentary on key drivers of performance.

* Assist in the development of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, working closely with department heads to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.

* Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning and decision-making processes.

* Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess business performance against targets and identify areas for improvement.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data and information for financial analysis and

reporting.

* Support process improvement initiatives to streamline financial reporting processes and enhance efficiency.

* Assist in ad-hoc financial analysis projects as assigned by the Finance Manager or senior management.

* Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in financial analysis and reporting, recommending enhancements to existing processes as appropriate.

* Key user in the ERP system (EAM, Kyriba and SunSystems)

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required; 5+ years related work experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.

* Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in financial analysis or related field, preferably in a corporate finance or

FP&A role.

* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools; experience with ERP systems; Infor

preferred.

* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and make recommendations

based on findings.

* Strong ethical practices and composure under pressure, maintaining integrity and professionalism in

challenging situations.

* Adaptable to changes in the work environment and able to deal positively with frequent change

* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

* Must be able to read and speak the English language

* Must have a valid driver's license

* Legally authorized to work in the United States, you must be at least 18 years of age
