The new South Nampa Urgent Care clinic is now hiring for a motivated and adaptable Medical Assistant

Position Summary & Highlights

- $1500 Sign-On Bonus Offered to external candidates

  • This position will work with a variety of providers and other MAs and RNs in a care team environment.

What You Will Do:

  • In addition to primary MA duties, you will also perform phlebotomy, administer immunizations, and prep injections.
  • You will assist with minor procedures, complete POC and other tests, and also complete tasks and orders in the task inbox.
  • An ideal candidate will enjoy working in a fastpaced environment, is adaptable and dependable.
  • You also like working in a strong team environment, have effective communication skills, and have solid critical thinking skills
  • Please note that initial training will be done at other Saint Alphonsus Urgent Care locations in the Treasure Valley until the clinic fully opens.

Work Schedule:

  • 36 hours/week, 12s, This position will work two days during the work week (Monday Friday) and every other weekend (Saturdays and Sundays).
  • Day shift is 8:00am 8:00pm.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • MA certification required within 90 days of eligibility to take a national certification exam from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies:
  • American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)
  • American Medical Technologists (RMA)
  • National Healthcare Association (CCMA)
  • National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)
  • American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire
  • For new MA graduates, minimum of 100 hour externship or MA work experience is required even with MA certification.
