Under general supervision, the Software Engineer (Development and Testing) will be responsible for both software development and testing tasks. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our IT retail systems while also contributing to the development of new features and improvements. This role will involve a combination of software development and testing tasks, focusing on systems related to payments, transactions, customer rewards, and point of sale. The role also includes maintaining legacy applications for both domestic and international operations.

This position will sit onsite in Grapevine, TX

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain IT retail systems, with tasks split between software development and testing.
  • Perform thorough testing of software systems, identifying and resolving issues to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, functional and technical design, coding, testing, implementation, and post-implementation support.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and performance of developed systems.
  • Design and execute test plans and test cases, and document test results.
  • Drive cross-functional test sessions to ensure comprehensive testing and quality assurance.
  • Maintain legacy applications for both domestic and international operations, ensuring their integration and smooth operation.
  • Work on both legacy and new systems, ensuring continuity and innovation across the technology landscape.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies to continuously improve software development and quality assurance processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development and quality assurance.
  • 1+ years of experience with C#
  • Experience working on retail systems, payments, transactions, or customer rewards platforms is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
