Overview
The Palm Beach County Convention Center will be holding Open Interviews on Monday, June 3rd, 2024 from 10:00am to 2:00pm.
We will be hiring for a variety of on-call and part-time roles on both our Food & Beverage Team. Please come out and join us on June 3rd to interview and learn more about Oak View Group and The Palm Beach County Convention Center. All positions require the ability to work weekdays and weekends, with availability for some morning, noon, and evening shifts on an on-call/event based schedule.
Complimentary parking will be at the valet half circle by the parking garage located off Rosemary Ave., behind the Hilton. Check in desk will be located directly inside the entrance doors.
This role will pay an hourly wage of $15 to $17.
For PT roles: Benefits: 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching.

We will be interviewing candidates for the following on-call/part-time positions at the varied payrates:
Banquet Servers $16 - $17/hr (which includes working as Buffet Attendant, Concessions Attendant, Coffee & Breaks, Bar Back, Bussers, Hors D'ourve Passers and Food Runner.)
Cooks I and II $16 - $18/hr
Dishwashers $14 - $16/hr
Bartenders $15 - $17/hr plus tips
Banquet Captains $21 - $23/hr
Qualifications
- All positions require the ability to work weekdays and weekends, with availability for some mornings, noon, and evenings shifts on an on-call/event based schedule.
- Must be able to provide a written availbility on a regular and consistent basis to management
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high volume environment preferred
- Must have a High School Diploma, G.E.D. or related Food Service Job Experience.
- Must acquire and maintain a Food Handlers Card, Alcohol Awareness Certification, and other required compliance trainings.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
- Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, management staff and guest in a clear, business-like and respectful manner which focuses on generating a positive enthusiastic and cooperative work environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, nights, weekends and holidays.
- Physical ability to life and move heavy objects, such as boxes and equipment.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
