Summary

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

About the Position:This is a Military Technician position with the Army Reserve Aviation Command, Aviation Support Facility (ASF) MacDill Air Force Base (AFB) East located in MacDill AFB.



Duties
  • Fabricates, lays out, forms and installs a variety of metal surfaces and structural members for aircraft.
  • Examines aircraft flying surfaces and supporting sheet metal structures to determine extent of repair using applicable technical manuals.
  • Removes damaged aircraft structural members and installs replacement members including beams and formers.
  • Plans and lays out work using applicable work practices for repair and modification of aircraft metal parts and components.
