AUDIT/EXAM REPORTING MANAGER
As a Risk Manager in Capital One's Card Risk Office you will be responsible for working with the Card Risk organization business to identify and consult on potential risks to Capital One. At Capital One, we are the first line of defense to ensure our Company remains well-managed and profitable.
Risk Managers at Capital One are highly motivated Risk Management professionals with excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. These skills allow us to gain insights, and act as a change agent to influence our business partners. As Capital One evolves to meet the ever changing technology landscape, so do our Risk Managers. A successful Risk Manager operates from a foundation of knowledge about the Line of Business with whom they are working, laws / regulations and good Risk Management practices. They are forward thinking, quick to adapt, and technologically adept. Risk Managers have a high level of exposure across lines of business and have the opportunity to work with Executives to create and implement innovative solutions to appropriately manage risks within the Card business. This organization plays a critical role in helping to ensure the company's risk-taking entities are aware of the risks inherent in their activities and decisions, the impact of their actions at an enterprise level, and opportunities to reduce, mitigate, or avoid the risks altogether.
This position, Risk Manager (Audit & Exam Reporting), will apply your project/process management and analytical skills to support the reporting capabilities for relevant audits and exams for the organization.
Specifically, this associate will:
Own and drive centralized reporting management of audits and exams, including development of internal processes and program governance maturationEnable a strong culture of reporting management that is adaptable to a changing environmentSupport internal audit and regulatory interactions (e.g., development of executive reporting needs, dashboards, etc.) in coordination with and in support of key internal stakeholdersAssist with the development of key strategic process enhancementsSupport associated analytics needs, including the gathering of insights and data, preparation of written reports, and oral presentations to communicate identified issues and recommended remediation actions specific to audits & examsLeverage technology to assist with day to day audit and exam reporting management, including actively seeking and reporting on opportunities to strengthen processes via automationProactively identify process improvements that will improve risk practices, including opportunities for automationSupport centralized management of internal risk processes and deliverables to develop sustainability of key programsResolve or escalate impediments to help the organization deliver on its top priorities in a timely and efficient manner
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma, Military or Equivalent CertificationAt least 4 years of experience in Process Management or Project ManagementAt least 3 years of risk management experienceAt least 1 year of reporting experienceAt least 1 year of experience in analysis or analytics
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree5+ years of risk management experience3+ years of experience in analysis3+ years of audit, exam, or regulatory experience3+ years of experience in performing risk and control assessments, control testing, or assessments against industry risk frameworksLean, Agile, Six Sigma, Business Process Management, or Project management certification

This role is hybrid meaning associates typically spend about half their time (2-3 days per week) in-person at one of our offices listed on this job posting . Mondays and Fridays are enterprise- wide virtual work days . Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are in-person days for associates to spend time together working in our beautifully-designed team areas.
