Summary

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Shortage Category and/or Critical Need Positions to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

About the Position: The Summer Hire program is from May thru August 2024, will need to be available to start by May 24, 2024. Management may fill multiple vacancies at each location.



Duties
  • Collect and identify archeological information from a variety of sources in accordance with specific instructions and established procedures.
  • Prepare reports documenting anthropological/archaeological/historical investigations for inclusion in environmental documents and compliance with federal cultural resource directives.
  • Assist in the preparation of estimate time and cost required to develop, assess, and coordinate environmental aspects of project plan formulation.
  • Assist in the planning and conducting of cultural resource investigations including records and literature searches, archival studies, and field work consisting of reconnaissance and surveys, test excavations, and data recovery excavations.
