Summary

This position is located at the VA Pacific Islands Health Care System, VA Akaka Clinic in Kapolei, HI. The position is responsible for the management of facilities operations, maintenance, repair, modifications, minor renovations, utility systems and equipment, environmental services, grounds and other components.



Duties

***THIS IS NOT A VIRTUAL POSITION, YOU MUST LIVE WITHIN OR BE WILLING TO RELOCATE WITHIN A COMMUTABLE DISTANCE OF THE DUTY LOCATION***

Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Administers all contracts to operate and maintain the facility.
  • Serves as Contracting Officers' Representative on all maintenance and service contracts that support the facility.
  • Monitor quality aspects to ensure contractors comply with contractual requirements.
  • Establishes and implements operating procedures and policies in accordance with established objectives, schedules and program funds.
  • Plans and implements energy upgrades to reduce power consumption while meeting necessary power requirements.
  • Determines the priority for the maintenance, repair and improvement of all buildings.
  • Responsible for the evaluation of the effectiveness and efficiency and attainment of program goals and objectives and compliance with pertinent legal and regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintains compliance with VA criteria and all applicable codes and requirements as pertains to preventive maintenance on all building systems and building service equipment.
  • Writes or reviews specifications for the maintenance or repair of facilities to include the description of materials and work methods to be followed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm, possible rotating Saturdays
