We are looking for a Greenhouse Specialist to join our Agriculture Solutions team in Research Triangle Park, NC.

As a Greenhouse Specialist you will work at our Research Triangle Park, NC site where we operate R&D greenhouses to grow, maintain, and harvest plant materials in a regulatory environment to support global registrations of our biotech crops.
- Producing high quality plant material in controlled environments for regulatory studies to support safety assessments of our genetically modified (GM) trait seed products.
- Demonstrating routine troubleshooting capabilities and use relevant greenhouse methodology to produce plant samples, generate data, and understand instrumentation to conduct activities to ensure all compliance objectives are met.
- Collaborating with internal and external partners to meet the agreed expectations and to assist in identifying areas of improvement in workflows and will experiment and implement innovative approaches to create quality driven solutions.
- Performing greenhouse maintenance, such as waste management/disposal, ventilation control, environmental controls and monitoring, irrigation system management to maintain optimal greenhouse performance.
- Communicating experimental results, activity status, and potential concerns to a wide variety of stakeholders in an effective and timely manner to ensure study conduct and results meets agreed upon timelines.
- Have earned a master's degree in in Horticulture, Agronomy, Biology, or related field, or a bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Agronomy, Biology, or related field with at least 3 years of experience, or non-degreed with at least 8 years of experience.
- Possess experience working in a GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) environment is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrate hands-on experience and knowledge in growing & maintaining plants in controlled environment settings (i.e., greenhouse or growth chamber), strongly preferred.
- Have experience applying pesticides and possessing a NC pesticide applicator license or willingness to obtain one.
- Have willingness to be on-call for weekend and evening greenhouse alarms on a rotating scheduled basis.
