Description

Hitachi Energy is seeking for a Senior Quality Engineer for its Alamo, TN Location.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Design, analyze and evaluate quality assurance systems. Act as principal investigator on Company sponsored task forces and organize and direct technical efforts of a team of engineers whose expertise encompasses various disciplines. Support other groups involved in such matters as quality related sales efforts and complying with quality standards.

  • Assume major responsibility for the preparation of quality assurance economic studies, specifications, purchase related documents, technical reports, proposals, licensing, safety and related documents. Plan, perform or assist in complex supplier quality evaluations, audits, surveillance, document reviews and unique problem analysis.
  • Operate independently, representing the quality organization at major meetings or conferences to resolve important issues or to plan work, typically involving innovative approaches and influencing decisions.
  • Liaison among various groups, suppliers, customers and regulatory authorities to accomplish quality programs involving such technologies as nondestructive testing, metrology, statistical methods, fabrication techniques, quality codes and regulations. Provide technical consulting services, seek opportunities and implement measures to improve operations and customer satisfaction.

Your Background:

  • Assignments require diversified knowledge of engineering, manufacturing and related functions and in-depth knowledge of quality assurance programs, procedures, and regulatory agency guidelines. Requires excellent communication skills to negotiate effectively with suppliers, customers and internal groups, and ability to coordinate activities involving diverse technical disciplines.
  • Requires ability to develop innovative solutions to problems and make decisions regarding quality matters that may significantly impact contracts. Errors are likely to result in loss of time or rework, and may affect customer relations.
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related field and 5 to 8 years of experience, or alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments.
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States. Will not sponsor.
