What part will you play?

As an Associate DevOps Engineer you will be an integral part of the team responsible for the seamless execution of our DevOps strategy. You will assist in designing, implementing, and managing the DevOps infrastructure and processes, ensuring a smooth bridge between development and operations teams. Your role will focus on supporting continuous software delivery, deployment, and operations through automation and collaboration. This entry-level position is designed for individuals passionate about learning and growing their DevOps expertise while contributing to the efficiency, scalability, and reliability of our systems.

What will you be doing?

  • Support DevOps Strategy and Planning:
    • Assist in defining and developing the organization's DevOps strategy under the guidance of senior team members.
    • Participate in discussions with stakeholders to understand business objectives and how DevOps can align with these goals.
    • Help assess current processes and infrastructure to identify areas for improvement with a focus on learning and skill development.
  • Assist in Infrastructure Design and Automation:
    • Support the design and implementation of scalable and highly available infrastructure under the supervision of experienced engineers.
    • Gain exposure to cloud services and containerization technologies to understand resource management.
    • Contribute to automating the provisioning, configuration, and management of infrastructure components with mentorship from senior engineers.
  • Participate in CI/CD Pipeline Development:
    • Assist in creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
    • Learn and apply version control, code review, and branching strategies under guidance to ensure code quality.
    • Support the integration of automated testing, security scanning, and monitoring into the pipeline.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Engage in fostering collaboration and communication between development and operations teams.
    • Support senior engineers in resolving conflicts and promoting a culture of shared responsibility.
    • Participate in knowledge sharing and best practices among team members.
  • Support Security and Compliance:
    • Assist in implementing security best practices throughout the DevOps process under supervision.
    • Support efforts to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
    • Help perform vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation efforts.
  • Monitoring and Performance Optimization:
    • Support the setup of monitoring and alerting systems to track the health and performance of applications and infrastructure.
    • Assist in identifying bottlenecks and areas for optimization, implementing solutions to improve performance under guidance.
  • Documentation and Training:
    • Help create and maintain comprehensive documentation for DevOps processes and procedures.
    • Engage in training sessions and seek mentorship to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Actively seek feedback and continuously assess and refine DevOps processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
    • Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies in DevOps with a keen interest in learning and growth.

Physical Working Environment:

  • Primarily indoor working conditions, including office and occasional customer work sites.
  • Opportunity for remote work with flexibility to travel to client-facing opportunities as needed.

What do we require from you?

Required/Desired Knowledge, Experience, and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • 2+ years of related programming or development experience.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of DevOps.
  • Basic knowledge of DevOps tools and technologies, including an understanding of containerization (e.g., Docker), CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins), and IaC (e.g., Terraform).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
  • Basic proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Bash, Python) is desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.

Our compensation ranges reflect the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The pay details below range from our lowest geographic market up to our highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience depending on the position offered, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
