Summary

These positions are located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), El Paso Field Division, Albuqueque District Office.

These position(s) primary purpose are to receive, document, store, and dispose of non-drug evidence and/or bulk marijuana for a Field Division.

As an Evidence Custodian your typical work assignments may include:

  • Receiving, documents, stores, and disposes of non-drug evidence and/or bulk marijuana for a Field Division.
  • Receiving and filing seized evidence from special agents and diversion investigators.
  • Developing information, identifying interrelation ships, and taking action consistent with evidence control goals.
  • Interpreting and adapting existing guidelines, regulations, and other documents issued by headquarters to a variety of evidence control situations.
  • Creating and maintaining automated records of evidence and vault inventory.
  • Creating and producing bar code labels on all items for chain of custody tracking.
