Development Lab Machinist

Reports To: Development Lab SupervisorResponsible for the machining and fabrication of components for development igniters and spark plugs, as well as tooling and fixtures used within the laboratory.This position will also work in tandem with the development lab technician with testing and or assembly of development parts.Set up, adjust, and operate a variety of different machine tools including but not limited to CNC and manual mills, lathes, and surface grinders to perform precision machining operations on a variety of materials.Maintain priorities of work established by the Product Engineering Development Lab Supervisor.Developmental assembly of prototype and short run builds of igniters and spark plugs as directed by Development Lab Supervisor.Experience programming/operating CNC machining equipment to produce tightly tolerance parts is required.Experience with 3d modeling using SolidWorks and converting models to G-code is desirable.
