Job Summary and Qualifications

Accepts the responsibility and accountability for a designated group of patients. Administers direct and indirect patient care based on scientific principles and guided by the established policies and procedures of the Fairview Park Hospital. Proficient in specialty area as appropriate. Population served: Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric.

What you will do in this role:

  • Assess and reassess patient condition. Initiate plan of care. Recognize and report change in condition, evaluate care, update and revise plan of care. Provide safe patient care.
  • Maintain and apply correct nursing standards and clinical competency including National Patient Safety Goals.
  • Apply critical thinking skills in conjunction with facility policies and procedures to prioritize and problem solve.
  • Meet the personal and practical needs of the patient and families as described in "Patients First Service". Use appropriate and effective communication skills.
  • Accepts accountability for completion of assignments, demonstrates reliability and dependability (including compliance with the attendance policy), and utilize time and material cost-effectively.
  • Continue self-development, provide leadership and actively participate in Performance Improvement Activities. Directs others as needed.
  • Reflects HCA values and its ethical and compliance principles in his/her daily activities (Code of Conduct).
What qualifications you will need:
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Active Registered Nurse License
  • Bachelors Degree or Associate Degree
