About the Position: This position is located at Fort Johnson, LA.

This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.

Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.

Medical malpractice liability insurance is not required for federal civilian healthcare providers as they are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (28 U.S.C. § 1346(b)) while acting within the scope of their employment.

• Make recommendations on major diagnostics and treatment plans.
• Provide continuing follow-up care for chronic inpatients and outpatients with acute disorders and complications of these disorders.
• Examine and conduct thorough studies of presenting patients and evaluate laboratory and clinical findings.
• Prescribe appropriate treatment or refer patient to appropriate specialty clinics.
• Prepare and maintain convenience file, outpatient medical record, and inpatient record documentation in accordance with service and hospital SOPs.
