Water Distribution Operator

Agassiz Water Users District is a Public Water System and a political subdivision of the state of North Dakota, providing drinking water to over 1400 homes through 450 miles of pipeline.

Agassiz is currently looking to hire a water distribution operator to help maintain the water system which includes 1 water treatment plant, 7 reservoirs, and 1400 members.

Duties:

-Complete service calls as needed

• -Install remote read metering system inside members homes
  
• -Replace meter assembly components (Light Plumbing)
  
• -locate and operate outside shutoff
  
  Operate and maintain water distribution system.
  
  - Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment as needed
  
  - Collect data and maintain accurate records at water distribution facilities
  
  - Troubleshoot and resolve issues with mechanical, electrical, and logic controllers
  
  - Conduct heavy lifting and physical tasks as required
  
  - Build and maintain plumbing systems related to water treatment and distribution
  
  Mow and maintain grass in summer, and remove snow in winter at water distribution facilities
  
  Skills:
  
  

  Mechanical knowledge to operate and repair water system
  
  - Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
  
  - Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues with equipment and systems
  
  - Ability to operate logic controllers online or via smartphone
  
  - Attention to detail to ensure accurate data collection and record keeping
