MDH-Eastern Shore Hospital Center, Cambridge, MD - Dorchester\r

POSITION DUTIES

This position involves the full performance level clinical work of providing dietetic services to mentally ill, aged, physically ill, and/or physically disabled patients of this state-run court involved inpatient psychiatric facility. This position also functions as the Dietetic Program Director for the facility, which includes supervising professional food service and support staff.\r

Per the Amended Directive and Order Regarding Vaccination (MDH # �issued by the Secretary of the Maryland Department of Health,�effective April 18, 2023, staff in all�hospitals and residential facilities operated by the Maryland�Department�of Health or any local health department are required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination. Staff includes, but is not limited to, regular and contractual employees, contractual staff, volunteers, and other state employees performing any duties at the facility. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Determined by the Maryland State Board of Dietetic Practice under the licensing requirements for Nutritionists and Dietitians.\r

Experience: One year of experience providing professional nutrition or dietetic services.\r
\r

Note: Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Dietitian and Nutritionist classifications or Dietitian and Nutritionist specialty codes in the Dietitian field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.\r

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

1. Candidates for positions in this classification must possess a current license as a Dietitian/Nutritionist from the Maryland State Board of Dietetic Practice.\r

2. Candidates for positions in this classification must be registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) prior to completion of probationary period and must maintain a current registration during their time of employment. Applicants who are currently registered should submit proof of CDR registration with application.\r
