What do we do?
Azure Summit Technology provides a wide range of multi-channel, software-defined radio solutions for applications including surveillance, communications, radar, direction finding, emitter location, and interference cancellation. Systems can be tailored to meet a variety of requirements for bandwidth, dynamic range, number of channels, and computational resources. Supported platforms range from resource-constrained small UAVs and wearable devices to manned aircraft and submarines. Azure also offers innovative signal processing solutions to challenging problems in the realm of radio frequency spectrum awareness.
What will you do?
Azure Summit Technology is currently seeking a qualified, energetic leader to fill the position of Assistant Program Manager. The selected candidate will lead the development, demonstration, and production of multi-channel software-defined radio solutions and integration of those systems with manned and unmanned aerial and maritime platforms. This position is located in Fairfax, Virginia, with overnight travel to Melbourne, Florida; Baltimore, Maryland; and other locations as needed.
The successful applicant will work collaboratively with an outstanding group of geographically dispersed engineers and technologists. The successful applicant will become part of a world class team and will support program execution of advanced electronic systems for the DoD and other customers. Current and future projects span advanced concept and prototype development, low-rate initial production, and full-rate production. This position will also include responsibilities related to risk management and proposal preparation. This position will require travel to and coordination with engineering activities at other customer facilities, in multiple locations across the United States.
Primary Responsibilities:
Supports successful execution of technically complex programs that develop high-reliability RF hardware/software systems.
Supports program leadership in managing cost, scheduling, quality and staffing baselines to meet or exceed all task requirements.
Assists program leadership with procurement approval, procurement tracking, and supplier oversight and direction
Assists in the creation of project plans, schedules, and tasking via close collaboration with engineering and other supporting functions
Utilization of effective strategies for communicating program priorities, task status, risks and issues, and proactive escalation and addressing of issues, within the program leadership team, to program management, corporate management, and to customers
Assists program leadership with timely and accurate collection of program status and performance metrics
Assists program leadership with creation and tracking of valued added metrics
Establishes dashboards to help track program execution
Assists program leadership with risk management activities to include risk analysis and collaboration with engineering to generate risk mitigation plans
Assists program leadership with weekly presentation creation and coordination
Assists program leadership with CDRL tracking, preparation, and delivery
Manage execution-based projects or tasks that do not require a technical background
