Job Description BAE is looking for a Senior Linux Engineer to lead a team of Infrastructure engineers to plan, install, operate and maintain the enterprise Linux environment supporting a government partner enterprise IT infrastructure.
Responsible to support the solutions architect and enterprise architect in service design, service transition and service operations and interoperability of the enterprise Linux environment within AWS and VMC Cloud environments.Administer a Linux Red Hat RHCE and Microsoft Windows environment.Install, support, test, and troubleshoot applications.Prepare formal written technical content for the development, implementation, and management of projects.Prepare standard operating procedures (SOP), architecture diagrams, program roadmaps, checklists, and root cause analysis reports.Conduct change and configuration management to include logging changes, creating instruction, and validating that changes were implemented successfully.Administer backups and restores.Responsible for the planning, installation and maintenance of all Linux services and ensuring interoperability and solutions supporting the enterprise environment.Responsible for meeting or exceeding DISA STIG guidance on all systemsRequired Education, Experience, & Skills 12 + years experience as a Linux Administrator (Including experience with Red Hat Linux RHEL 6, 7, 8 and/or 9).The ability to clearly communicate technical issues to management and provide guidance to other technical staff.Experience with software container technology (desired: OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes).Virtualization experience (desired: VMware).Deployment & configuration automation experience (desired: BMC BladeLogic or TrueSight Automation).BS in computer science, information technology, or equivalent discipline and/or equivalent experience or relevant certifications such as Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) and Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA).Public Trust ClearancePreferred Education, Experience, & Skills ITIL Experience with Linux administration on Debian and CentOS systemsExperience Managing Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud environment.Experience Designing multi-tier network structure to improve security for new and existing buildsExperiencing designing EC2 infrastructure for internal developers and clientsExperience with AWS CLI scripts to backup critical data to S3 storage and perform other management tasksExperience Optimizing usage of AWS to improve efficiency and reduce costsExperience designing and managing Route53, IAM, RDS, ELB, and VPC toolsRedHat RHCE Linux; WebSphere Cisco Interconnecting Network DevicesNETAPP Certifications/experienceVMWare Certifications/experienceAWS Certifications/experienceSEC +PMPPay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $ $215270

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
