Duties:
Duties include clinical care of Veterans with hematologic and oncologic disorders, education of trainees at multiple levels of training (including fellows), enrollment of participants on ongoing clinical trials, attendance at multidisciplinary tumor boards commensurate with clinical interests, and participation in cancer program quality initiatives.
Successful candidates will also have an appointment in the Division of Hematology, Oncology, and Transplantation at the University of Minnesota.
Memberships in the University of Minnesota Comprehensive Cancer Center and the NCI Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology Cooperative Group are available.
Currently, the Hematology/Oncology section is active in basic, translational, and clinical research. As such, it also participates in the national VA Lung Cancer Precision Oncology Program (LPOP) and VA NAVIGATE programs. Candidates with an interest in translational and/or clinical research are encouraged to apply. Candidates will be required to travel periodically to a community-based clinic.
