MAJOR DUTIES:
Responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating and directing a comprehensive youth sports program. Aboard the Air Station. Serves a liaison with other military services, organization, and local community. Ensures facilities are properly prepared in accordance with the rules and regulations of the sport and league. Assists in maintaining sports grounds in proper playing condition. Responsible for recruiting, training, and supervision of volunteers/coaches¿critical to the execution of the Youth Sports program.

Monitors coaches and ensures compliance with the National Alliance of the Youth Sports (NAYS) policies and guidelines that include fingerprinting.

Prepares supporting data for new plans and budget requirement recommendations. Coordinates program efforts with the managers of other recreation functions. Is a credit card holder and is responsible for the purchases for the Athletics Department.
Monitors a very extensive equipment issue program and applies reasonable control measures to maximize usage of supplies and equipment. Conducts inventories of resources (uniforms, equipment, supplies) and ensures adequate storage and maintenance. Examines assigned youth sports resources for defects.

Must establish, supervise and conduct mini training camps for the Youth Sports Program as outlined by the Semper Fit Division.

Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Acknowledges customers, smiles and makes eye contact. Asks questions to determine, verify and solve problems. Checks for satisfaction on the quality of goods and services. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor or proper point of contact for help when problems arise.
Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Uses required safety equipment and observes safe work procedures.

Promptly reports and observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor.

Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment. Performs other related duties as assigned.
