The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB Health) in Galveston, Texas is growing and seeking to add a full-time Comprehensive Ophthalmologist faculty member. The provider will be joining a team of subspecialty ophthalmologist and optometrists to provide comprehensive eye care. The provider will engage in a full range of eye health including the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions of the eye, performing surgical interventions, and providing primary care for diseases of the eye. Faculty participate in the resident and fellowship education programs, as well as can elect to serve on committees within the Department and Health System. The Department of Ophthalmology has 4 clinic locations in the Galveston County region. The provider will provide cross coverage care in these locations as well as provide ophthalmology services at the UTMB Galveston, League City, and Clear Lake Campus.

Candidate Requirements - Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited medical school with residency training in Ophthalmology. The candidate must be Certified/Board eligible in the American Board of Ophthalmology and have a valid unrestricted Texas medical license. Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience.
