Summary

You will serve as a CONTRACT SPECIALIST in the FACILITIES ENGINEERING AND ACQUISITION DIVISION of NAVFAC NORTHWEST.



Duties
  • You will advise technical representatives on procurement requirements and regulations for work involving facilities support, construction, or demolition contracts.
  • You will administer orders or contracts by monitoring contract performance, preparing modifications, and determining the necessary course of action to comply with terms and conditions or resolve issues impacting contract performance.
  • You will analyze price or cost data for contract modifications, changes, or deviations to determine necessity and reasonableness.
  • You will negotiate fair and reasonable costs in discussions with contractors.
  • You will solicit proposals from prospective contractors and prepare solicitation documents.
  • You will recommend solutions or determine remedies through fact-finding to resolve contract performance problems.
