Job Description

We are seeking an experienced AI Technical Lead to join our team working on SUSE's AI acceleration. As the AI Technical Lead, you will be responsible for leading technically and providing direction for our AI solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features, and mentor the organization engineers and architects around AI.

Focus Areas:

Perform the technical leadership for AI at SUSE. Provide technical development guidance, coaching and mentoring across the organization. Collaborate with product managers, engineers and AI leadership to identify and prioritize project requirementsDevelop and maintain the needed solutions.Mentor other engineers, provide code reviews, PoCs and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, and collaborate with QA teams to ensure thorough testingStay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply this knowledge to improve our AI solution Required skills & experience: 8+ years of experience in back-end software development with a focus on scalability, performance, and reliabilityStrong expertise in one or more programming languages: Python, C++ and others.Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker), orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes), and cloud computing (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)Knowledge of database systems, including relational and NoSQL databasesExperience deploying private AI solutions, including experience with data privacy and securityExcellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug complex technical issuesStrong communication and leadership skills, with experience mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teamsExpertise in SUSE Linux and open-source technologiesBachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field Nice to Have: Experience with DevOps practices and tools, such as CI/CD pipelines and Agile project managementKnowledge of security best practices and compliance frameworks, such as GDPR and HIPAA What We Offer: Competitive salary and benefits packageOpportunity to work on cutting-edge AI technology and contribute to the development of SUSE's private AI solutionCollaborative and dynamic work environment with a team of experienced engineers and researchersProfessional growth and development opportunities, including training and conference sponsorshipFlexible work arrangements, including remote work options If you are a seasoned back-end engineer with a passion for AI and cloud computing, and have experience deploying private AI solutions, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity to join our team JobSoftware Engineering What We Offer We empower you to be bold, driving your career to create the future you want.
