Duties
  • You will operate a heavy vehicle in excess of 32,000 lbs., such as a tractor-trailer or truck and full trailer combinations in a safe manner.
  • You will transport personnel or cargo on extended trips.
  • You will utilize global positioning systems and road maps.
  • You will load, unload, arrange, and secure cargo to prevent overloading and shifting in transit.

    • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
    • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
    • You must maintain an air-brake certification.

Qualifying experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing minor repairs or adjustments on vehicles; 2) Maneuvering oversized vehicles in narrow, congested areas, through difficult metropolitan traffic, and high speed highways; and 3) Operating lighter vehicles such as: buses, dump trucks, carry-alls, platform trucks, stake trucks, and vans;
