Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled IT Specialist with a focus on end-user support, security, and managing employee technology needs. As part of our Business Operations team, you will be instrumental in ensuring that all team members have the technological tools and support they need to excel in their roles.

This includes managing, troubleshooting, and optimizing employee laptops, and software applications. This person will be self-directed, and brings experience managing IT in a similar capacity. Your role will be pivotal in fostering a productive, secure, and efficient work environment for our rapidly growing company.
This position is hybrid, a few days a week are required based out of our Salt Lake City office.

Responsibilities

  • Provide end-user support for employee laptops, including setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hardware and software issues.
  • Manage inventory of hardware and software licenses, ensuring that all employees have the necessary tools and that these resources are efficiently allocated.
  • Work to maintain and improve technical security measures, including those related to endpoint protection.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for procurement and maintenance of IT equipment.
  • Facilitate onboarding and offboarding processes for employees, including setting up necessary accounts, hardware, and software for new hires and managing access revocation for departing employees.
  • Document IT processes and maintain a knowledge base for troubleshooting common issues and best practices for device management.
  • Liaise with the Legal Team on training sessions for employees on best practices, security awareness, and efficient use of technology tools.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in IT support and employee productivity tools.
  • Manage and maintain compliance with technical SOC 2 controls

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5-8 years experience in IT support, specifically in managing and supporting employee laptops in a Windows and/or MacOS environment.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking principles.
  • Experience with IT security practices, including endpoint security and data privacy.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to provide hands-on support in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-directed, and able to deal with a high level of ambiguity
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing high-quality support to team members.
  • Familiarity with mobile device management (ie Rippling) and remote support tools is a plus.
