The Children's Hospital of Savannah is the only children's hospital in Southeast Georgia, including the region's only Level III Neonatal Care Unit. In 2017, the Children's Hospital served more than 75,000 children in the region and has plans to expand its services over the next five years.
This 604-bed tertiary care center is also the clinical home of University School of Medicine's Savannah campus, which is a 4-year program that matriculates 60 new physicians per year. Our faculty members are strongly committed to resident & medical student education, community medicine, scholarly activity, and broad-spectrum pediatrics. Memorial sponsors five other AGCME Residency training programs totaling 130 Residents (Internal Medicine, Radiology, Surgery, Family Medicine and OB/GYN), and our faculty and residents enjoy an extremely cordial and supportive working relationship with the other residency programs.
