Apprentice Plumber

Advantage Plumbing & Sewer Co., Elgin IL, a division of Four Seasons Heating, Air Conditioning, Plumbing and Electric, is currently looking to add Plumbing Apprentices to our consistently growing plumbing division. Applicants should have plumbing experience. Good driving record needed.

We are seeking motivated Apprentices looking to grow in their career and eventually take the state licensing exam. We are looking for responsible, motivated, hard working individuals with a positive attitude. Strong customer service, communication, and team work skills are necessary.

Duties Include (but Not Limited To)

Implementation of safe work practices, trouble-shooting and maintaining plumbing systemsMaintain plumbing systems and make recommendations for improvement where neededMaintain supplies and equipmentLocate position of pipe, pipe connections and passage holesAccommodates pipes and pipe fittings by cutting openings in floors and walls, using hand tools and power toolsInstall plumbing systemsTest plumbing systems; identify leaksRepair and maintain plumbing systems by replacing washers, mending burst pipes, opening clogged drainsComplies with federal, state, and local building and plumbing codes by enforcing adherence to requirements, including ADA requirementsKeeps plumbing equipment and tools operational by following manufacturer's instructions and established proceduresConserves plumbing resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job resultsProvides plumbing information by answering questions and requestsMaintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulationsDocuments plumbing actions by completing production and quality logsContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
