  • Position: ASCP Certified Cytotechnologist
  • Facility: Riverside Methodist Hospital
  • Shift: Usually Mon-Fri ; occasional weekends based on volume; no call; no holidays
  • The principal responsibility of the Cytotechnologist is to microscopically examine a wide variety of complex cellular body specimens for the purpose of identifying abnormal changes in cells that may be indicative of inflammatory, premalignant, malignant or other changes.
  • The process must be performed with a high degree of accuracy, precision and timeliness.
  • These assessments are based on specific knowledge of human anatomy, physiology and pathology, and on judgement acquired in specialized undergraduate and postgraduate training.
  • EMR is EPIC and OhioHealth lab personnel will wear red scrubs. Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree with field of study: Cytotechnology, chemical, biological or clinical laboratory science AND possess Certification as a CT (ASCP), scat (ASCP) or CT (CMIAC).
  • OR Bachelor of science degree in chemical, biological or clinical laboratory science AND a graduate of a CAHEA approved school of Cytotechnology
  • Must have 2 years of experience with travel (in hospital setting)
  • High volume lab experience
  • Hologic/thinprep, MUST BE HOLOGIC IMAGER TRAINED AND BE ABLE TO SHOW CERTIFICATE OF TRAINING Schedule Information
  • Shift: Usually Mon-Fri ; occasional weekends based on volume; no call; no holidays Additional Details
