Maine Medical Partners is seeking a FT BC/BE internal medicine physician to join their academic team in the Adult Medicine Clinic at Maine Medical Center.


The Maine Medical Partners Adult Medicine Clinic is the primary ambulatory teaching site for Maine Medical Center's Internal Medicine Residency Program.

The Clinic, located in Portland, Maine, is the medical home for a culturally and medically diverse population with socio-economic challenges and health care disparities.

The Clinic also serves as the primary medical intake site and medical home for newly arrived immigrants to the Greater Portland area.


This position is an excellent opportunity for physicians interested in pursuing a career balancing clinical, academic and community service roles.

Opportunities exist for academic promotion and involvement in quality improvement activities as well.

The physician will need to work well in a team environment, relate effectively with culturally diverse patients, and possess strong teaching and clinical skills.


The clinical portion of the position involves mostly direct patient care and occasional opportunities to precept the Internal Medicine Residents.

The ideal candidate will have an interest in residency education, quality improvement, and international/immigrant patient care.

The selected candidate would have an academic appointment at Tufts University School of Medicine, and the position involves teaching and mentoring residents and medical students from the Maine Medical Center-Tufts University School of Medicine Medical School Program.
