This role involves maintaining a visible presence at store entrances/exits to prevent theft and fraud, ensuring a safe environment for both staff and customers. The Specialist welcomes customers, monitors for theft indicators, and collaborates with the store team to reduce operational loss.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensuring Safety & Security:
  • Focuses on safety as a top priority and promotes safe practices for both customers and staff
  • Provides a visible presence at entrances/exits and on the sales floor, identifying potential safety concerns
  • Keeps emergency exits clear and safe
Building Strong Teams & Partnerships:
  • Delivers excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers courteously
  • Shows respect to all individuals
  • Maintains a professional demeanor and collaborates effectively with internal and external partners
  • Supports loss prevention initiatives and other assigned tasks
Representing the Brand:
  • Upholds and represents the company's brand consistently
  • Adheres to the company's dress code and maintains a professional appearance
Preventing Theft & Fraud:
  • Monitors entrances/exits and sales floor for suspicious behavior to prevent theft
  • Reports theft indicators to store leadership and loss prevention teams
  • Adheres to company policies on handling external theft
  • Follows best practices to maximize efficiency in work
Reducing Operational Loss:
  • Educates and trains store teams on processes to minimize operational loss
  • Ensures proper checkout procedures are followed
REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred
  • Prior experience in retail supervision or relevant training desired
  • Training in loss prevention and security is a plus
  • Active Security Guard License preferred
  • Effective communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Conflict resolution expertise
  • Ability to comply with security regulations and standards
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Timely and regular attendance
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move around the store for extended periods
  • Capability to lift objects weighing more than 25 lbs. and perform bending or stooping tasks as needed
  • Flexible to perform other physical tasks as required
