Job Summary/Objective:
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Apartment Painter to join our team.

The Apartment Painter will be responsible for painting vacant apartments, as well as other interior spaces, such as hallways and laundry rooms.

The ideal candidate will be someone who enjoys working alone, has a positive attitude, stays on task, is detail-oriented, communicates promptly, and takes pride in their work.

All equipment and supplies will be provided.

Responsibilities included, but not limited to:

Painting:
Paint all interior areas of vacant apartments. Some will require 2-tone to enhance trim work and cabinetry. We specialize in historic properties; uneven lathe and plaster surfaces are the norm.

Position may require painting in occupied units at times.

Other painting projects will be assigned when vacancies are all caught up. The vast majority will be indoors. Any outdoor work will be weather permitting.

Maintain work equipment in good, clean working order. Proper cleaning of rollers and brushes is critical to maintain their effectiveness.

Carefully protect all unpainted surfaces, and promptly clean any drips or spills.

Safety and Compliance:
Respond promptly to supervisor and co-workers to ensure good communication regarding work flow.

Bring any noted maintenance issues to the attention of the Site Manager.

Maintain accurate records of hours and locations worked.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols, identifying and addressing potential hazards or safety concerns.


Position requires frequent lifting and moving of 5 gallon buckets of paint, carrying equipment and supplies up and down stairways, using a step stool.


Resident Relations:
Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with residents.

Communicate effectively with residents and team members regarding scheduled maintenance and repairs.

Requirements:
Preferred, but not required, experience as a painter; preferably in a residential property management setting.

Desire to work alone most of the time. This is a great opportunity to work while enjoying music, podcasts, or listening to audiobooks.


Strong work ethic - you show up for work on scheduled days, and stay on task while on the clock.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Spoken English required.

Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle preferred. Bike and mass-transit users will also be considered.

Benefits/compensation:
Hourly position. Prefer full-time days, Monday through Friday, but some schedule flexibility can be discussed.

Hourly rate of $22.00 to $25.00, based on experience

3 weeks of PTO each year
