An Introduction.
This undergraduate class introduces students to strategies and practices in the growing field of public relations and strategic communication, including landmark cases; special emphasis on historical roots, evolution, current and future practice.
This course also serves as the gateway for students who have not yet decided on a major or minor in PR to get enthused and inspired about the industry.
Therefore, experience in agency, corporate, non-profit or government PR is preferred. Because of the lockstep nature of our curriculum, willingness to adhere to the established class curriculum is required.Requirements for consideration include a B.A., B.S., M.S., or an M.A. degree in a related field. Previous teaching experience is desirable. For some courses, outstanding professional experience may be substituted for academic credentials.
The hourly range for this position is $37.88 – $45.46.

USC reserves the "Adjunct" appointment for faculty teaching less than full-time at USC, who are employed full-time in a primary profession or career elsewhere.
Adjunct faculty typically teach only one course per year, but in exceptional cases, may teach one course per semester, if approved by the dean.
